Sample Story Reading from the Book called A Real Desire to Praise God

“Wherefor the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men: Therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvellous work among this people, even a marvellous work and a wonder: for the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, and the understanding of their prudent men shall be hid.”

Isaiah 29:13-14

Day 1: Heart Worship

Let’s read it in the Message Bible for a little clarity: “The Master said:

“These people make a big show of saying the right thing,
but their hearts aren’t in it.
Because they act like they’re worshiping me
but don’t mean it,
I’m going to step in and shock them awake,
astonish them, stand them on their ears.
The wise ones who had it all figured out
will be exposed as fools.
The smart people who thought they knew everything
will turn out to know nothing.”

For those who have eyes to read, you better hear it in your spirit. God knows the motive of the heart.

Heart worship is what God is looking for; those will worship Him in spirit and truth (1 John 4:24). Don’t fool yourself? Don’t deceive yourself? This is very serious and should not be taken lightly. Check Your Motive, before praising and worshipping your Heavenly Father God. He knows the reason why you are doing something or behaving in a specific way.

You cannot fool God . Galatians 6:7 states, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Never be misled into believing that He can be fooled. “All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the Lord weigheth the spirits (Proverbs 16:2).” In other words, God knows the motives and intents of the heart.

Please do not be as one of those foolish types of people described by the Lord; acting like “Curious George” (from the children’s cartoon!) This monkey would always want to find something to do in his neighborhood but would never ask for help in his new adventures. Why? Because of his thoughts of being a big (boy) monkey!

There’s no difference between this monkey and people. They like to put on a big show. Don’t start like you want to learn about praising God, just to get the information out of this book. After this, you go to your local assembly to be a pretender. Well, my friend, this book is not for you. My suggestion is to give it away to a real Follower of Jesus Christ.

This book is for those who are hungry and thirsty for God Himself and do not mind praising Him or His Son, Jesus.

Check your heart my friend to see if this is for you because praising is repetitive.

Before you start to praise God, clear the path through prayer. This is your task for today. Pray! Repent if you need too. He is faithful to forgive and start you off brand new.

Glory, the Lord is good!

His love and mercy endure forever. Pray for peace. Pray for grace. Pray for hope. Pray for understanding of the hidden value of praise. Pray for closeness with God. Pray for fervency. Pray for the truth that’s hidden in Christ.
