Will it take a storm for you to see God? Faith is what makes real the things we hope for. It is proof of what we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1).
If you looked up the word for “Faith,” you will see that its nothing more than having confidence. Believing is the assurance in God’s ability to complete His promises. As Christians, we must have faith. Without it, we are not with Abba Father God and our nature to sin is made known. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
Oh yes, we need the faithfulness of our Lord! His power is made manifest by our belief. God said it, and we believe it. Do you know that where there is not faith, sin resides (Romans 14:23)? Faith is a vital assurance of our future and hope. “If Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins (1 Corinthians 15:17).”
This is why we use our faith, and I know that you will like to please God. Many people like to quote Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
I have a book called “THINK: From Fear to Faith.” In there are short stories of people using there faith. I encourage you to get a copy for yourself or someone else. It will give you hope to endure. My second granddaughter, I named Jameen in the book, gives you a wonderful reaction to a weather storm. As you know, “Storms are a part of life; no one has ever said that we would be exempt from them (page 6).”
Jesus said from scriptures in John 16:33 that in Him, you might have peace. In the world you will have storms and tribulation. Don’t lose your mind, but be of good cheer for He have overcome the world. So, what are you going to do from now on? I tell you what Jameen did. She ran to her mother, as she repeated 2 Timothy 1:7:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
This is an excellent way to fight the good fight of faith. In this life, all we have is hope in Christ Jesus (1 Corinthians 15:19). Believe the Word of God. Your inheritance is being sanctified by your faith (Acts 26:18). If you need a little help in this area, daily meditate on the power of God, His inspired and written words of HOPE – The BIBLE.
If you do not use your faith, how can you say that you belong to Christ? In Him, we receive forgiveness of sins. Wisely exercise what you believe without fear or hesitation.
Faith pleases God.
